LumenCam · macOS · coming soon

Your windows, in your hands.

A spatial camera for the Mac. You're cut out of your room; your apps float around you as glass panels; you move them by hand. Any webcam. Records in 4K, exports vertical, works in any call.

Real capture, built-in MacBook camera, no headset, no green screen — sped up 1.6×

What it does

The 2010 format — a tiny head in the corner of a flat screen — is over.

Every screen recording and every call still looks like that. LumenCam puts you in the scene and puts the content around you, the way Vision Pro demos look — with the webcam you already have.

01

You're in the scene

An on-device matting model cuts you out of the room, hair and all. Windows sit behind you as frosted glass; your hands stay in front of them.

  • Light from the panels spills onto you; the room shifts with your head (parallax)
  • Auto-framing keeps you centred; panels stay put
  • Four glass themes, blurred / plain / real room
02

Windows in your hands

Pinch a panel and move it. Bring it closer to grow it. Flick it and it springs home. Point, and a spotlight follows your finger.

  • Any window, your iPhone's screen, a PDF, a video, a code file, live captions
  • Air-click real apps: the cursor snaps to the nearest button or file, so you don't have to be precise
  • Whatever you open appears as a new panel. Notes only you can see. A phone remote with teleprompter
03

Record once, export anywhere

LumenCam records the scene, not just pixels: camera, matte, every panel stream and every gesture, separately.

  • Change the theme or background after the fact; re-render in 4K
  • One take → 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for Shorts, with the panels re-laid out
  • Share links with chapters and clickable hotspots on the panels
Pointing at a Finder icon inside a glass panel; the target magnet highlights it
The air command palette: four round buttons around the presenter's hand

iPhone remote

Your phone is the remote. Nothing to install.

Scan the QR code LumenCam shows you and your iPhone becomes a control surface on the same Wi-Fi: record, drop chapter markers, hide or show everything, focus a panel, turn pages — and read your notes off a teleprompter that scrolls at your speed.

How it works

No headset. No green screen. Nothing leaves your Mac.

Everything runs on Apple silicon: Apple's Vision framework and a CoreML matting model for you, ScreenCaptureKit for the windows, Metal for the glass. The camera is your MacBook's, or your iPhone over Continuity Camera.

  • CameraBuilt-in, iPhone (Continuity Camera) or any USB webcam. 1080p in, 4K canvas out — windows stay razor-sharp.
  • MatteRobust Video Matting on the Neural Engine, ~20 ms a frame, temporally stable; Apple Vision as fallback.
  • Hands21-point hand pose, calibrated to your hand once; pinch, grab, throw, point, palette. A One-Euro filter keeps it steady.
  • PanelsLive app windows via ScreenCaptureKit, your iPhone's screen over USB, files, captions (Speech, on device), notes.
  • Air clickAccessibility snaps the cursor to the nearest real control and sends the real action — Finder opens the file, Safari follows the link.
  • Recording4K HEVC with noise-suppressed audio, chapter markers, and a "take" that can be re-rendered later in any theme or aspect ratio.
  • CallsA virtual camera for FaceTime, Zoom, Meet and Teams — the last piece, landing with the notarized build.
  • AutomationA local lumencam:// URL scheme, scene files, and a phone remote over Wi-Fi. Other tools can use LumenCam as their stage.
